Instead of letting the rain wash out plans for National Night Out, Brooklyn Park Police planned a community event to celebrate the city’s recovery from the Sept. 21, 2005, storms.

Lee Glamm, BP Police crime prevention coordinator, said the events reinforced the community building effort of National Night Out, while celebrating the work done by the city and residents to clean up the damage from the storm.
