Squad Training Report

24/10/2006

Squad Training ReportOnce again the Squad Training at Bisham Abbey was a great success and was attended by cadets, juniors and seniors and also ex internationals. It was nice to see Andy Saunders still showing the young ones that he can still train with them.

I would like to thank my coaches, Wayne Otto O.B.E., Ian Cole and Molly Samuels-Le Port for their enthusiasm and their attendance (even though they were not being paid). My thanks also to Doctor Stuart and Mo for also attending without pay.

It is nice to see that most people training in a Gi still believe in karate and England, and I think everybody should be supporting Karate England at this moment in time. Mistakes have been made but if we all stick together as one united Karate England we can pull through the bad times and look towards a great future.

I would like also to give a special thanks to the referees and judges that attended the squad for the selections, also without pay.

Squad Trainings Dates for your diary:

Saturdays, 4th November, 2nd December 2006 and 13th January 2007.

Ticky Donovan O.B.E.,National Squad Director
